The GP-1 GPS Unit fits the D800 in addition to a variety of Nikon DSLR cameras. It adds GPS coordinates (“Geotags”) to image EXIF data. Recorded information includes: latitude, longitude, altitude and time information. It is powered by the camera and provides red and green indicator lights to show accuracy level based on number of acquired satellites.

    • Yes. The D800 has the 10-pin remote terminal on the front, so you use the GP1-CA10 cable to connect the GP-1 GPS unit to the D800.
